How Secure is the Internet?
The Internet is more secure than some
of the most common business transactions you already complete today.
For example, imagine you were on the phone giving your credit card
number to purchase some product or service. If someone was listening
in on the call, they could take your credit card information and
begin using your card immediately. Or perhaps you are making a purchase
in a store. If the salesman takes the carbon from your credit card
slip, they'll also have all of the information they need to use
your card.
On the Internet it is much more difficult to steal credit card
information. The thief would not only have to get the credit card
information (much more difficult than retrieving a credit card
carbon from the trash can or listening in on a phone call), but
then they would also have to break a complex encryption code by
hand, because we have the only key!
You are much more likely to have your information stolen by
an easier method (like purse snatching) than by shopping online.
But we understand your need to make your own decision on Internet
security - we just hope you'll make the decision take advantage
of the AMD 3DNow! Software Offer.
